Job Summary:

Sigma Healthcare Staffing is seeking a skilled LPN/LVN to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with RNs to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct Thorough Assessments: Perform thorough physical assessments and medical histories to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
  • Provide Skilled Nursing Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, and provide other skilled nursing interventions as needed.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly evaluate patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report any concerns to management.
  • Ensure Medication Safety: Securely administer medications, taking precautions against drug hoarding and trafficking.
  • Document Patient Interactions: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including all detainee/inmate contacts.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN/LVN License: Possess a current and active LPN/LVN license.
  • Experience and Education: Minimum of one year of experience as a nurse, with a preference for candidates with a strong background in healthcare.
  • Certifications: Current BLS certification.
