Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified part-time instructor to teach introductory art courses on our Eureka campus and at the Klamath/Trinity Instructional site in Hoopa. The successful candidate will possess college-level technical skills in drawing, painting, and color theory, as well as a Master's Degree in Art.

Responsibilities
  1. Teach introductory art courses, including drawing, painting, and color theory.
  2. Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of diverse students.
  3. Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  4. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of art programs.
  5. Engage in professional growth activities, such as workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Art or a related field.
  • College-level technical skills in drawing, painting, and color theory.
  • Ability to teach introductory art courses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching art courses.
  • Knowledge of art education and curriculum development.
  • Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
