Event Operations Coordinator

The Banquet Captain will support the Banquet Manager in servicing the guests and will oversee banquet staff for all scheduled events. The Banquet Captain ensures that all guests receive proper, attentive, courteous, and expedient service in a clean and pleasant atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Assumes Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities in the absence of the Banquet Manager
- Manages the room set up and break down/re-set
- Acts as point of contact throughout the event, assuring the event runs smoothly
- Maintains complete knowledge of service requirements for assigned function
- Maintains complete knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations
- Completes closing side duties
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in large scale event management
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- Great customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task numerous groups/events at one time
- Able to work productively with little supervision
- Varying schedule to include weekends, evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
