Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Automation Project Engineer to become a vital member of our North American engineering team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in steering automation initiatives, ensuring cyber security compliance, and providing operational support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute automation system engineering projects while adhering to established standards, safety protocols, budget constraints, and quality benchmarks.
- Implement cyber security measures in alignment with the site’s cyber security management framework.
- Deliver control system configuration services across North American sites.
- Offer technical assistance, engage in installation verifications, and support commissioning activities.
- Develop control strategies for system infrastructure, encompassing hardware, networks, and cyber security protocols.
- Provide automation support to operational facilities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Control Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing control system software and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading automation configuration tasks on projects.
- Strong foundation in control system architecture and networking.
- Familiarity with current cyber security standards and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV systems.
- Cyber security training.
