Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Chronic Absenteeism Specialist. This part-time position will play a critical role in supporting students and families to improve attendance and academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve student engagement
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to identify and support students at risk of absenteeism
  • Provide individualized support to students and families to address attendance barriers and develop attendance plans
  • Monitor and analyze attendance data to inform program development and evaluation
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to promote attendance and academic success
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
  • Experience working with youth in a multicultural/urban environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Experience with case management and report writing
  • Knowledge of attendance laws and regulations
