Job Summary:

The Sheet Metal and Welding Department plays a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure of CMS buildings and facilities. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing roof flashings, gravel stops, facias, conductor-heads, roof curbs vents, traffic control gates, guard rails, and security screens. Additionally, you will assist with the maintenance of roof drain lines and catch basins using a jet-vac machine.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and install various roofing components
Assist with the maintenance of roof drain lines and catch basins
Operate a jet-vac machine to keep roof drain lines flowing
Install and repair canopies and security screens
Assist with the relocation of Mobile Classroom Rooms (MCRs)

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to operate a jet-vac machine and other equipment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Working Conditions:

This position requires working at heights and in confined spaces. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.

Salary:

$15.00 - $19.11 per hour
