Job Summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Clinical Education Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and leading educational activities designed to grow, maintain, and improve the professional competence of clinical team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ evidence-based practice in educational methodologies and clinical practice
  • Assist in the clinical orientation of new team members, provide ongoing consultation on educational requirements and existing resources to direct care team members
  • Actively participate in the quality improvement process, act as a positive agent of change and communication
  • Guide other disciplines in applying principles of evidence-based care to their educational needs
  • Perform appropriate RN functions and other duties when assigned. Follows the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) Scope and Standards of Practice
  • Life safety support (AHA instructor, mock/mega codes, RQI, etc.) for St Joseph's, SFBH hospitals along with lead team towards standardization
  • Onsite support for simulation, informatic, course delivery & all educational roll-outs
Requirements
  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Required BSN with 3 years of Clinical Experience OR Bachelor's in Healthcare Related Field with 4 years of Nursing Education
  • Preferred professional organization certification
  • Preferred ANPD certification
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Preferred ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
