Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Mettler-Toledo. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for preparing and welding metal components to exacting standards.

• Preparation and Welding: Utilize band saws, drill presses, and hand grinders to prepare metal components for welding, and then weld them using TIG/MIG techniques.
• Sheet Metal Fabrication: Fabricate sheet metal bins, enclosures, and covers using press brakes and other metalworking equipment.
• Material Management: Control raw material inventory using shop routers and computer systems, and cut raw materials according to engineering drawings.
• Assembly and Setup: Assemble weldments from drawings, group required parts, and weld and setup sub-assemblies for welders.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, or completion of a trade school or apprentice program.
• Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in blueprint reading, tape measure usage, and fabrication shop practices, with the ability to perform all Welder 1 tasks when necessary.
