Voter Registration Advocate

Join The Outreach Team as a Voter Registration Canvasser or Team Leader

We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Voter Registration Canvassers or Team Leaders to support the fight to protect abortion access in Arizona. As a Canvasser, you will engage with the public, deliver a compelling campaign message, and collect survey answers from voters. As a Team Leader, you will manage a small group of canvassers, ensure their safety and success, and assist with training and administrative work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner
• Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect survey answers from voters
• Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills
• Follow safety protocols and comply with daily health and safety guidelines

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Manage a small group of canvassers, check in with them periodically, and debrief at the end of the day
• Ensure each canvasser has necessary materials for safety and success
• Assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work

Requirements:

• Passionate about progressive politics and fostering democracy
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups
• Hard worker with motivation to engage with the community
• Culturally competent and respectful of teammates and the community

We Offer:

• Competitive hourly rate: $24-26/hour
• Overtime pay, driver bonuses, shift bonuses, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for referrals
• Opportunity to earn extra pay for maintaining a full-time schedule and working weekends
