Job Summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tools under the direction of the Shop Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts, and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Prioritize and Manage Projects: Prioritize and work on projects needing immediate attention, and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of new equipment and new builds as directed by the Shop Manager.
  • Conduct Machine Shop Operations: Perform machine shop operations, including adjusting and alignments, to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Test and Inspect Equipment: Conduct test drives and inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition, and make any necessary repairs.
  • Comply with Regulations: Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements, and ensure all equipment is in compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • Technical Education: Technical educational training in mechanics is preferred.
  • Experience: Experience in welding/fabrication is required, and experience in heavy truck (gas and diesel) repair is a plus.
  • Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older, and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR check.
