About the Role

Urban Effects Cabinetry is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in facilitating our agile team's processes and ensuring we deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and sprint planning meetings to ensure team alignment and progress.
  • Coach and mentor team members to build a high-performing group and strengthen their understanding of agile/scrum concepts and principles.
  • Prioritize transparency and communication to build trust with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement ways to strengthen agile teams and the organization through agile/scrum concepts and principles.
  • Ensure agile team's actions are aligned with the project goals and vision and that the agile team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders.
  • Assist the Product Owner and the agile team in identifying trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision.
  • Foster communication and close cooperation between all team members, encouraging cross-training and mutual support.
  • Work with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of scrum in the organization.
  • Shield the team from external interferences and remove all impediments to the team's success.
  • Manage multiple teams using SAFe.

Requirements

  • Understanding of flow metrics like cycle time, flow efficiency, cumulative flow, etc. and ability to implement what makes sense.
  • Confident and skillful ability to navigate teams through roadblocks impeding delivery progress.
  • Able to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue, strong mediator.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, identifying risks/dependencies/impediments, and handling multiple priorities at once.
  • Brings high-energy, passionate outlook, and the ability to positively influence those around them by building trust and rapport.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor all roles on a scrum team.
  • Good understanding of technology-enabled business transformation, digital transformation, organizational transformation, and delivering enterprise-level IT and digital projects.
  • Skilled at navigating complex organizational structures and dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience with agile, scrum, or kanban. SAFe is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a Scrum Master role running 2-3 Scrum projects at once.
  • Agile Certifications, preferably via PMI-ACP, (PSM I, PSM II, PSK I) or (PK I).
  • 3+ years of experience in leadership or project team role.
  • Extensive experience with JIRA/Confluence or other software to help agile teams visualize their work.
