Scrum Leader Job Description

Genesis10 is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Leader to join our team. As a Scrum Leader, you will play a crucial role in facilitating workflows in a scrum environment, ensuring that team members follow through on their respective duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and coach the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
  • Get the team to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Engineering, and Experience Design partners to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
  • Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge, and communicate effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
  • Work with the Scrum Team, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to influence and drive decision making and support the product teams.
  • Resolve team impediments with other Scrum Leaders to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization.
  • Work with Agile coaches and other Scrum Leaders to grow within the role.
  • Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
  • Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
Requirements:
  • Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles.
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong, demonstrated knowledge of Scrum and understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques.
  • Planning and problem-solving with product management and delivery teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, networking, collaboration skills, and cultural awareness.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience navigating transformation in highly regulated industries is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Hourly W2 pay rate $75.00-$80.00
  • Access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
