Job Description

We are seeking a Dietary Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our dietary department, you will be responsible for performing designated work and cleaning routines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform defined work routines, including dishwashing, pot and pan washing, cleaning, preparing foods for steamtable/serving area, working in serving area, and serving the dining room.
  • Clean equipment, work areas, and dining room as assigned.
  • Fills water coolers, coffee stations, and snack stations as assigned.
  • Follows established reporting procedures for supply or equipment needs, damaged or loose fixtures, flooring, or equipment, unsafe or malfunctioning equipment, and conditions conducive to breeding insects, rodents, or other vermin.
  • Takes direction from the cook in charge in absence of the dietary director.
  • Works with all members of the dietary team as well as other departments.
  • Sets tables according to usual guidelines in fine dining.
  • Takes orders from residents and relays information to the cook per protocols.
  • Delivers food to tables and continues to check on residents throughout the meal for additional requests.
  • Clears tables and clears tables after meals.
  • Treats residents and guests with respect and displays kindness and compassion.
  • Monitors and records food temperatures to ensure food safety.
  • Rotates and stores food supplies.
  • Monitors dining room and calls for nursing staff should they notice any resident needs medical attention.
