About this Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Lead Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Regulatory Interpretations Team. This individual will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative team that provides the final Wells Fargo viewpoint on current and future regulations as they pertain to regulatory reporting and capital treatment of business transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and interpret current and proposed regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Provide regulatory capital and reporting consultation and interpretations, with a strong knowledgebase in credit risk (Y-14 reporting) and/or securitizations.
  • Provide technical transaction advisory assistance on Company and line of business transactions.
  • Educate corporate and business unit executive management on current regulatory capital and reporting issues.
  • Provide technical advice, research, training, and awareness to business lines, cross-functional teams, and other personnel related to current and/or complex regulatory capital and reporting issues.
  • Active participation in the implementation of complex regulatory capital and reporting projects or managing aspects thereof, including participating in or managing cross-functional teams and managing Company-wide task forces.
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and communicate regulatory capital policies, practices, and procedures, including recommending changes thereto based on changes in regulatory guidance.
  • Review and provide input on quarterly and annual financial data for regulatory reports, including consolidated and subsidiary financial statements, footnotes, and other external disclosures.
  • Participate in the preparation and/or reviewing of comment letters and other correspondence to regulatory standard setters.
  • Serve as liaison for regulatory capital and reporting issues with both internal and external audit staffs and banking regulators.
  • Provide or assist with in-depth business analysis and developing long-term strategies to optimize business line or company performance.
  • Participate in review and analysis for critical remediation of regulatory reporting issues.
  • Active participation in industry and peer groups to influence the regulatory standard-setting process.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Regulatory Agency and/or Big four public accounting experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Basel Endgame, Y-14 regulatory reporting, and/or securitizations.
  • 8+ years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of audit, regulatory compliance, or risk management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding Dodd Frank, Basel II and/or III.
