Job Summary

The Chief Accounting Officer is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting functions of Farmers National Banc Corp. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting, finance, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including SEC filings and regulatory reports.
  • Play a major role in acquisitions and the preparation of purchase accounting entries.
  • Maintain the general ledger accounts and improve the efficiency of the trial balance.
  • Oversee liquidity management for the Bank and other wholly-owned subsidiaries.
  • Provide regular reporting and present financial information to various boards and committees.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of current accounting standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with the CFO on budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Oversee the creation of budget reports and provide feedback and recommendations.
  • Responsible for assisting with the establishment of internal accounting controls and monitoring financial risk.
  • Provide direct management and leadership to the Accounting manager and assist with the management of their direct reports.
  • Attend conferences and workshops to maintain an advanced level of finance and accounting knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • CPA designation or significant relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum of ten years of experience in Accounting/Finance with demonstrated management experience in a financial institution.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • ALCO experience required.
