At Mohawk Industries, Inc., we're committed to delivering exceptional customer solutions and process improvements. As a Material Handler IV GHB Calhoun Operations Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production facilities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Inspect and package materials for delivery to internal departments and/or customers, ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time.
- Collect and pre-pack finished products at a wrap/banding/bagging station.
- Load packaged materials onto pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure them for transport to designated areas.
- Pull and stage materials as required to meet production demands.
- Place sleeves on vacuumed rolls to complete the final packaging of products.
- Apply proper labeling on packaged carpet pad rolls.
- Operate related production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Record quality and output measures, and complete any necessary paperwork.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
**Requirements**
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain certification for operation of powered lift truck and operate safely.
- Successful completion of on-the-job training programs.
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
- May be required to use PC and other department-specific database systems.
- Reads and writes in standard English and is proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or as a general laborer is preferred.
- Must be an effective team member.
- Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and related support areas.
- Ability to follow simple verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
**Working Conditions**
- Working conditions include hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and noise.
- Requires standing more than 2/3 of the time.
- Requires regular lifting between 60-80 lbs.
