Practice Assistant II

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Assistant II to join our team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a Practice Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage patient referrals and link them to scheduled office appointments
Triage and manage complex telephone calls, utilizing courteous customer service skills
Schedule patient appointments and coordinate the scheduling of diagnostic testing
Ensure the completeness of all required benefits eligibility, waivers, etc.
Understand HMO, Managed Care, and other Third-Party Insurers
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum one year of applicable work experience in healthcare
Additional training in office systems preferred
Working Conditions:
This role is based in a hospital-based ambulatory practice, with normal patient environments where there are some exposures to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, needle, and blood products.
