Senior Director of Construction Management

Job Summary:

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Construction Management to lead our Project Management team within the Tech & Services division for North America. This role will oversee the support of each component of the construction initiative, including market requirements, education, customer liaison, defining and developing solutions, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a national team of construction project managers implementing infrastructure and renewal projects in the Healthcare, Education, Business & Industry, and Government markets.
  • Develop business case solutions outlining the benefits of the solution, including design, development, and rollout.
  • Maintain a current and thorough understanding of construction and construction management industry trends as they apply to Sodexo's offer portfolio and business strategy.
  • Ensure effective and efficient project delivery processes are in place to enable superior performance and drive value for our clients.
  • Negotiate Sodexo's political landscape to build internal relationships and service level agreements to serve our clients.
  • Contribute to driving business development and retention objectives across all business units via offer, technical capability, service excellence, and education to internal and external clients and customers.
  • Direct job execution through project management teams, ensuring the management of projects with execution at established profitability levels.
  • Manage the manpower planning and scheduling processes.
  • Develop and maintain a long-term relationship between the customer and the Company.
  • Execute an effective communications plan to avoid problems, answer questions, keep customers informed, and resolve issues during the project.
  • Provide leadership in achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Select and manage subcontractors.
  • Optimize processes and systems (billing, purchasing, collections) to maximize profitability.
  • Review client and subcontractor construction contracts for alignment to Sodexo policy and risk mitigation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Construction Management, preferably in Facility Management, Energy Management, or Construction Management.
  • Previous experience in a contract management work environment, including education, healthcare, corporate, and government markets.
  • Experience in infrastructure and renewal construction relative to key energy systems or consumers within a client's facility.
  • Project management, construction management, and General Contracting experience is highly desired.
  • LEED AP, PMP, state contractor licensing, or CEM is a plus.
