About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Pharmacy Technician IV to join our team at Omnicell. As a key member of our pharmacy services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless daily dispensing of all sterile compounded medications from our advanced automated IV equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain IV automation equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure aseptic and error-free environment.
  • Review and update documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to build strong relationships and resolve issues.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and standard maintenance of IV automation equipment.
  • Complete fingertip and media fill sampling to ensure quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations manager and customer to ensure proactive problem identification and resolution.
  • Conduct training and ensure completion of all required documents and compliance with all Pharmacy Services procedures and policies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current non-expired PTCB Certification or via NHA a CPHT / EXCPT.
  • Current State Pharmacy Technician Registration / License for the State of FL (if required/applicable).
  • Working knowledge of IV compounding.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of IV Compounding experience.
  • Proficient in the use of PPE and hand hygiene techniques.
  • Working knowledge of sterile environment requirements.
  • Completed an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
  • 2 years previous experience in hospital pharmacy automation.
  • Basic Troubleshooting Skills with automation devices.
  • Automation implementation experience.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to daily commute to work at this location: 1700 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL.
  • Shift info: Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Ability to travel for training.
  • Pharmacy environment.
  • 8-to-10-hour shifts.
  • Working hours may be outside of normal business hours based on business or project needs.
  • Capable of standing for several hours at a time.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous drugs.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
