Job Title: Test Engineer

SLPT Automotive is seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our global Mechanical Engineering and Software Development team, you will play a crucial role in developing new electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and specifications to ensure the highest levels of test quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects and test processes to meet corporate goals.
  • Develop and follow test procedures, and continue to improve standard work instructions to support the set-up and execution of testing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to launch and improve new and current products.
  • Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret test data, and prepare high-level technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment and software is properly maintained and calibrated for repeatability and accurate testing.
  • Develop automated test scripts tailored to in-house and customer requirements to execute testing of UUT.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical, preferred)
  • Experience in SLPT components or systems; 7+ years preferred
  • Experience with general office computer tools desired (Office 365, Project)
  • Strong Knowledge of LabView and PLC programming
  • Experience with LIN and CAN communication protocols
  • Experience with lab debug equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
Physical Demands:
  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 10 hours per day
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
  • Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a routine basis
  • Will lift, push or pull up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on a routine basis
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required
