DevOps Engineer III

SNC's TRAX software plays a crucial role in bridging battlefield communication gaps for Military and Coalition Partners, eliminating proprietary interfaces and protocols, and providing commanders with a unified common operating picture of their battle space.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement microservices-based architectures
- Refactor legacy applications into containerized and scalable systems
- Collaborate with Agile software development teams to deliver operational capabilities
- Elicit, derive, and document software requirements to meet customer specifications
- Define software architecture, design modules, and produce associated documentation
- Write and test software modules, integrating with other components
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud-native development
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- 5+ years of software development experience with object-oriented languages
- Demonstrated experience with microservices, containerization, and cloud-native application development
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and related ecosystems
- Experience working with multiple cloud vendors and managed Kubernetes services
- Strong understanding of release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Higher certification
- Azure Developer/Solutions Architect
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Estimated Starting Salary: $109,592.82 - $150,690.13 USD Annually
