Job Title: DevOps Engineer III

SNC's TRAX software plays a crucial role in bridging battlefield communication gaps for Military and Coalition Partners, eliminating proprietary interfaces and protocols, and providing commanders with a unified common operating picture of their battle space.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement microservices-based architectures
  • Refactor legacy applications into containerized and scalable systems
  • Collaborate with Agile software development teams to deliver operational capabilities
  • Elicit, derive, and document software requirements to meet customer specifications
  • Define software architecture, design modules, and produce associated documentation
  • Write and test software modules, integrating with other components
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud-native development
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • 5+ years of software development experience with object-oriented languages
  • Demonstrated experience with microservices, containerization, and cloud-native application development
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and related ecosystems
  • Experience working with multiple cloud vendors and managed Kubernetes services
  • Strong understanding of release engineering, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or Higher certification
  • Azure Developer/Solutions Architect
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Estimated Starting Salary: $109,592.82 - $150,690.13 USD Annually

Security Clearance: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
