Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Chiller Service Technician to join our team at Comfort Systems USA Shoffner. As a key member of our HVACR team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing chilled water equipment and associated systems and controls.

About the Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a self-starter with a strong motivation to work with and mentor other team members. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from new system start-ups to repairs on air conditioning, industrial chiller, and refrigeration equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain, and repair all commercial/industrial chillers using necessary service literature.
  • Perform new system start-ups and repairs on air conditioning, industrial chiller, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Work with low voltage temp-control systems, direct expansion constant volume, multiple circuited/compressor AC equipment, and water-cooled AC units up to 100 tons.
  • Repair and maintain water source heat pumps and associated equipment, atmospheric gas fired hot water boilers, and most gas fired and electric heating systems found in commercial equipment up to 100 tons.
  • Work with chilled and hot water pipes and pumps, computer room type units with self-contained humidifiers and controls, non-BAS, pneumatic, electronic, and modular DDC temp controls, and air-cooled water chillers equipped with reciprocating, scroll, and screw compressors.
  • Diagnose and repair system problems and components using the BAS system.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Chiller service or Refrigeration in a commercial setting.
  • EPA Universal certification preferred.
  • A High School diploma or GED is required.
