Job Overview

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Site Manager. This position is responsible for providing management assistance in a company-owned Integrated Business Solutions (IBS) location or locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that customer needs are met and exceeded through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce shrinkage, and improve ROI.
  • Utilization of Tools: Leverage available tools and resources to track value-added items and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain and develop local non-NAPA vendor relationships to ensure access to a wide range of products and services.
  • Communication: Respond promptly to customer purchase and service questions, and work closely with the customer management team to develop strategies to ensure the overall value of the IBS program.
  • Process Compliance: Understand and comply with all contract requirements, and ensure that the operation is meeting customer expectations.
  • Performance Metrics: Ensure performance against service level goals per our IBS customer agreements, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure that merchandise is received in a timely and accurate manner, and that inventory is properly stored and maintained.
  • Employee Safety: Create a safe work environment, and ensure that required hazmat training is completed timely.
  • Company Policies: Understand and comply with company and customer company policies, and ensure that all employees are aware of and follow these policies.
  • Inventory Management: Bar code inventory and place it in appropriate bin locations, and return non-company excess inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work in unison with the Site Manager to ensure that all daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation items are handled per policy and procedure guide.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, technical school, and/or college degree a plus.
  • ASE Certification: ASE certified within twelve months.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage two or more people, prioritize, and delegate to team members.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, employees, and management.
  • Detail-Oriented: Detail-oriented, with the ability to accurately track and manage inventory, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in the automotive after-market industry, preferably in an automotive parts department, dealership, jobber, heavy duty, and/or fleet establishment.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the organization's store services, and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
  • Character and Integrity: High character and integrity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Personal Drive: Personal drive, self-motivation, and initiative to accomplish Company goals and objectives.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear, with the ability to lift and move product of up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific Vision Abilities: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Pay: $22.50 per hour
