Job Summary:
US Foods is seeking a dedicated Produce Inspector to join our team. As a Produce Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our fresh produce deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce deliveries and inventory in accordance with USDA guidelines.
- Ensure that all fresh produce meets US Foods standard specifications.
- Maintain records of inspections.
- Collaborate with warehouse management to address food safety concerns.
- Make recommendations on product disposition, dump and damage, or repackaging.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- 2 years of experience in produce or other perishable receiving and inspection preferred.
- Ability to make decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of fresh produce.
- Effective communication skills to liaise effectively with warehouse management.
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6 pm
