Job Summary:

US Foods is seeking a dedicated Produce Inspector to join our team. As a Produce Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our fresh produce deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections of incoming fresh produce deliveries and inventory in accordance with USDA guidelines.
  • Ensure that all fresh produce meets US Foods standard specifications.
  • Maintain records of inspections.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management to address food safety concerns.
  • Make recommendations on product disposition, dump and damage, or repackaging.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2 years of experience in produce or other perishable receiving and inspection preferred.
  • Ability to make decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of fresh produce.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise effectively with warehouse management.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to receiving, storage, and shipping of fresh produce.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 9:30 am - 6 pm
