Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist 2 to join our team at the New York State Office of Mental Health. As a Psychiatrist 2, you will play a critical role in providing mental health services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and recovery-oriented psychiatric treatment services to patients.
  • Serve as a primary prescriber of psychopharmacology and ensure that all services are integrated to promote mental and physical health and recovery.
  • Oversee services for a treatment program, a group of clients or residents, a facility, or a unit.

Requirements:

  • Must have possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and certification in psychiatry by the ABPN.
  • May be eligible for appointment to Psychiatrist 1 or 2 if you have licensure in another state or Canada AND a current limited permit to practice medicine in New York State.
