Job Overview

The Senior Systems Engineer at DCS Corp will deliver comprehensive hardware and software engineering support to the Ground Vehicle Division. This role involves providing expert technical guidance and leveraging specialized knowledge in the lifecycle management of both manned and unmanned ground vehicles, as well as the integration of cutting-edge engineering technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team alongside Army personnel and DCS engineers, contributing to a project team that spans multiple locations.
  • Utilize Subject Matter Expertise in ground vehicle systems to develop architecture, standards, and requirements, while also managing technology planning and execution for various combat vehicle platforms and subsystems.
  • Engage with CCDC Research & Technology Integration Groups, PEO, and external Army entities to advance architecture and technology initiatives that support both legacy and new vehicle programs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of customer requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering; or a Master's degree in the same fields with at least 12 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in large-scale software system development for ground combat systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, strategic planning, risk assessment, and problem resolution.
  • Experience collaborating with diverse teams and organizations to enhance architectural and technological solutions for Army ground and autonomous vehicle systems.
  • Ability to critically assess systems architectures to inform their development across various ground vehicle domains.
  • Familiarity with military C4ISR equipment integration for Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms.
  • Proficient in presenting advanced concepts and system architecture enhancements.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and Software Engineering development methodologies.
  • Understanding of military communications equipment relevant to Ground Combat Vehicle Platforms.
  • Familiarity with standards such as MIL-810, MIL-1275, J1939, RTSP, RTP, UDP, TCP, H.264, etc.
  • Willingness to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and testing centers (approximately 10% travel).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Systems Engineering and Integration for Military Systems.
  • Familiarity with SysML and the development and assessment of system models.
  • Support the creation of concept studies and trade-off analyses during the R&D phase related to C4ISR hardware and software systems.
  • Experience in the development and review of program milestone documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate with Army organizations to foster strategic partnerships and support program objectives.
  • Participate in technical reviews and evaluate documentation produced by government and OEMs.
  • Support developmental testing activities at Army proving grounds, including monitoring and witnessing testing operations.
