About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Standardized Patient to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Standardized Patient, you will play a critical role in training and assessing healthcare professionals in clinical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Simulate patient scenarios, including history, affect, and physical findings, in a standardized and accurate manner.
  • Teach and assess clinical skills of medical students and other learners.
  • Document skills of learners using a computer and provide constructive feedback.
  • Monitor other Standardized Patients for quality assurance and accept ongoing feedback from supervisors.

Requirements

  • Ability to work well with a variety of people and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to recall encounters accurately and be well-organized in all work aspects.
  • Capacity for flexibility and adaptability in different work situations and comfort with own body and examinations by health personnel.
  • Basic computer skills for email communication, document printing, and checklist documentation.
