Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Standardized Patient to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Standardized Patient, you will play a critical role in the education and training of healthcare professionals, simulating real-life patient scenarios to help learners develop their clinical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Simulate patient scenarios, including history, physical findings, and emotional responses, to help learners develop their clinical and communication skills.
  • Teach and assess the clinical skills of medical students and other learners, providing individualized feedback and guidance.
  • Document learner performance and provide written and verbal feedback to learners.
  • Monitor the quality of Standardized Patient simulations and provide feedback to improve the program.

Requirements

  • Ability to work well with a variety of people, including learners, faculty, and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simulate a range of patient scenarios and emotions.
  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to use electronic medical records and other software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
