About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coach front-end employees to provide excellent customer service and ensure efficient store operations.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to execute the Annual Operating Plan and achieve sales and profit goals.
  • Recruit, train, and develop front-end employees and other employees as assigned.
  • Ensure store adherence to all loss prevention procedures and perform Manager-on-duty functions.
  • Participate in the annual inventory process and assist in the budgeting process.
  • Responsible for maintaining merchandising programs and communicating with store employees about marketing initiatives.
Requirements
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a retail work environment, with at least two years of management/supervisory experience.
  • A two-year college degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and make good business decisions.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, customers, and vendors.
