The Ned Gulbransen Agency, with over 30 years of experience, is an independent insurance provider offering a wide array of insurance solutions, including personal lines (home, auto, life, umbrella) and commercial lines (general liability, commercial property, workers compensation, cyber security, commercial autos, etc.). Responsibilities
- Oversee the servicing of a portfolio of clients in collaboration with all internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating advanced knowledge of all commercial lines of insurance.
- Evaluate policy renewals based on client information, individual needs, and current market conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the services provided.
- Conduct follow-up discussions with clients to ensure their contentment while progressing towards sales closure.
- Present and clarify insurance policy options based on client needs and personal objectives.
- Treat each customer interaction as a cross-sell and up-sell opportunity, including financial products.
- Manage relationships with carriers on behalf of clients to ensure the accurate and timely issuance of policies and endorsements.
- Utilize various computer systems for daily transactions, process premium payments, review, update, and modify policies, handle claims, and provide certificates of insurance.
- Ensure consistent and prompt communication with clients to address their needs and concerns, ensuring retention standards are met.
- Prepare proposals for new and renewal business.
- Maintain current knowledge of commercial insurance products, services, and underwriting guidelines.
- Train and mentor junior staff members.
Requirements
- Property and Casualty License required. A license is not necessary to apply. We will cover 100% of licensing costs.
- 3+ years of customer service or leadership experience is required. Insurance experience is a plus.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail when reviewing policies, contracts, and client data to minimize errors and ensure the highest level of accuracy.
- Ambitious self-starter who can work independently to achieve targets and prioritize tasks throughout the day.
- Maintain a proactive approach to achieving individual and team objectives, consistently seeking opportunities for growth and improvement in pursuit of our agency's success.
- Effectively communicate complex insurance concepts and policy details to clients in a clear, understandable, and client-friendly manner, ensuring they make well-informed decisions.
- Apply critical thinking skills to analyze complex insurance situations, develop innovative solutions, and provide clients with tailored recommendations for their coverage.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, proficiently to create, edit, and maintain documents and reports.
