Position Overview

The Fraud Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting Branch Operations by addressing fraud-related concerns. This position involves overseeing the administration of fraud prevention programs and executing the responsibilities outlined below.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage complex customer inquiries related to potential fraudulent activities.
  • Make informed decisions based on thorough research, extensive experience, and adherence to established protocols.
  • Identify and report trends or patterns in fraud claims for further investigation.
  • Utilize financial crime risk management tools to detect and mitigate fraud.
  • Maintain and update records of fraudulent accounts with appropriate alerts.
  • Examine consumer and business accounts, including transaction histories, to resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding fraud within a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on criminal investigations.
  • Investigate and process claims related to check fraud.
  • Assist in the monitoring and approval of mobile deposit transactions.
  • Review ATM images for potential fraud cases.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering statutes.
  • Foster a supportive environment for both customers and team members, in line with Triumph Financial's values.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and industry associations.
  • Train and mentor new staff members.
  • Oversee special projects and initiatives related to fraud management.
  • In the absence of the Fraud Manager, assume supervisory responsibilities as per organizational policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fraud detection and prevention or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulations governing financial fraud.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proficient in English, with strong communication skills.
  • Adept at presenting information clearly in various settings.
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning to solve problems.
  • Proficient in database management, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
Work Environment

This role may involve the following work conditions:

  • Moderate noise levels typical of an office environment.
  • Ability to work in a confined space.
  • Extended periods of sitting at a computer may be required.
  • Regular interaction with team members and clients.
  • Occasional light lifting may be necessary.
