Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Cardiothoracic team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Intensive Care and Step Down Units, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing sound medical knowledge and pertinent standards of care.
- Perform delegated clinical duties effectively and efficiently, ensuring timely and appropriate communication with family members, house staff, and other disciplines.
- Prescribe medical equipment, devices, physical and occupational therapy, and home health services as per practice protocol.
- Collaborate with the attending physician to develop and implement the therapeutic plan of care for a group of patients, ensuring seamless communication with family members.
- Plan and organize care to meet individual patient needs, ensuring appropriate clinical resource utilization per protocols, pathways, and other means.
- Physician Assistant Bachelor's Degree (BA-PA)
- Current New York State Physician Assistant License
- NCCPA Board Certification
- BLs or ACLS, If applicable: PALS, NRP Provider (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) NALS per delineation of privileges
- Membership in pertinent professional organizations

The salary range for this role is $133,890.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
