Physician Assistant, Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team in Critical Care and Neurosurgery at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and assume delegated responsibilities assigned by the supervising physician.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring critical care and neurosurgical interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and procedural interventions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and evidence-based practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent.
- Current New York State Physician Assistant License.
- NCCPA Board Certification.
- 2+ years of experience in critical care and neurosurgery, with a strong background in patient assessment, diagnosis, and management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Membership in professional organizations, such as the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) or the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM).
- Experience with clinical research studies or trials, including patient screening, enrollment, and data collection.
