Job Summary

Central States Industrial is seeking an experienced IT Network Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our network infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the integration of CSI systems, network, security, and applications, providing end-user support and working with vendors.
  • Monitor and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Manage Helpdesk tickets through ConnectWise Manage, assisting users in resolving technical issues on a daily basis.
  • Support off-site users with VPN connections and access as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring backups and replication software and equipment, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Establish strong working relationships with technology team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor and maintain CSI network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide support for ongoing IT projects related to maintaining a strong, secure IT infrastructure.
  • Assist in monitoring Phish portal and education, promoting a culture of cybersecurity awareness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Technical certifications, such as Network+ and A+, desired.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support, with 5 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, interrelationships between systems, operating modes, configuration, topology, and protocols.
  • Ability to gather facts, use effective analytical and evaluative methods, and solve a variety of network problems.
  • Up-to-date awareness of technological advances and cybersecurity best practices.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization. The standard work week is Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work. The position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
