We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our interdisciplinary team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing the resilience of various infrastructure systems to cyber, physical, and natural threats and hazards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop well-defined analytical questions and plans to provide decision insights to stakeholders on complex infrastructure resilience problems.
- Lead teams to develop, evaluate, and apply novel analytical models, tools, and frameworks to characterize and assess key infrastructure resilience-related issues.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders in a concise and effective way.
- Serve as a point of contact for program managers at sponsor and partner organizations.
- PhD in engineering, computer sciences, operations research, or related fields.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure systems, energy systems, cyber security, physical security, intelligence analysis, or other related discipline.
- Advanced experience in developing models and/or frameworks to characterize and assess complex infrastructure systems and/or threats and risks to these systems.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Significant experience with one or more of the following computational disciplines: risk analysis, systems analysis, decision analysis, data analytics, statistical modeling, modeling and simulation, control system design, systems engineering, or other related discipline.
- Significant experience effectively managing concurrent technical tasks with competing priorities and implementing advanced research concepts in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
