As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our general dentists and specialists in providing high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting chair-side, greeting and escorting patients, taking radiographs as instructed by the provider, setting up and breaking down operatories, cleaning operatory areas after each patient, and stocking materials needed in the clinic daily.

In addition to these tasks, you will be responsible for sterilization and maintaining equipment and materials according to OSHA, federal, and state guidelines. You will also support front desk operations, schedule appointments, check in patients, collect and verify patient demographics, retrieve charts, document treatment plans, and perform other tasks in support of office administration.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Vocational/Technical training or Associates Degree
  • Radiology certification and DPH Dental Assistant License
  • Familiarity with dental software, email, and Microsoft Word
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. with or without accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in taking radiographs
  • Competency in infection control procedures
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Experience in treating patients with special healthcare needs, specifically those with cognitive and developmental deficits
  • Ability to work with patients' parents, guardians, and caregivers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Skill in leading teams, being self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage time efficiently

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on location and experience.
