Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer to join our team at Kahlig Auto Group. As a key member of our body shop team, you will be responsible for cleaning and detailing vehicles that have been repaired.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for washing, waxing, and buffing vehicles, as well as vacuuming interiors and trunks, cleaning glass components, and inspecting and cleaning the engine compartment.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Preparation: Wash, wax, and buff vehicles to a high standard, ensuring they are clean and free of scratches.
- Interior Cleaning: Vacuum interiors and trunks, paying attention to all surfaces and crevices.
- Glass Cleaning: Clean all glass components, including windshields, side windows, and mirrors.
- Engine Cleaning: Inspect and clean the engine compartment, ensuring all surfaces are free of dirt and debris.
- Quality Control: Follow a quality control checklist to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Teamwork: Attend weekly department meetings to discuss progress and share best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Attention to detail: A strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability: The ability to lift and move equipment, as well as stand for long periods.
- Communication skills: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues.
