Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Management Specialist to join our team at the Department of the Army. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials and supplies to support our manufacturing mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and analyze supply chain-related problems and conditions to identify solutions and implement improvements.
  • Use a computer-based inventory management system to estimate and schedule the delivery of raw materials.
  • Coordinate supply activities with schedulers, shop floor supervisors, and logistics management division personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Plan and coordinate logistical actions to support manufacturing operations and ensure adequate support for all elements of the program.
  • Collaborate with WVA management to resolve logistics management issues and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • One year of specialized experience in logistics management, including investigating or analyzing supply chain-related problems, using a computer-based inventory management system, and estimating and/or scheduling the delivery of raw materials.
  • Ability to gain American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification, certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), within 18 months of start date.
  • Position requires data analytics level 2 certification within 24 months of being placed on the position.
  • Supervisory experience as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
