Our esteemed client is in search of a dedicated Attorney specializing in Estates and Wills. This role entails delivering expert legal services concerning estates, trusts, and will disputes, as well as managing fiduciary responsibilities. You will collaborate with clients to assess and provide guidance on various estate planning options, including trusts, wills, and powers of attorney, while also assisting in the resolution of legal conflicts related to estates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide legal counsel on matters pertaining to estates, trusts, probate, and associated litigation.
- Perform comprehensive legal research and analysis in the realm of estates and trusts.
- Engage in communication with clients, judicial entities, administrators, and other pertinent stakeholders.
- Draft necessary legal documents, including pleadings and memoranda for litigation processes.
- Represent clients in court, during settlement discussions, and in alternative dispute resolution settings.
- Stay informed on legislative changes regarding estate, trust, and probate laws to ensure clients receive up-to-date legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor or LLB degree, licensed to practice law in New Mexico, with a clean standing with the Bar.
- Demonstrated experience in estate litigation, with a solid understanding of trusts, probate, and wills law.
- Exceptional research, writing, and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively with clients and other parties.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A portable book of business is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
