Telecommunications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Communications and Security Designer to join our team at TRS Staffing Solutions. As a Telecommunications Specialist - Network Designer, you will play a critical role in developing and evaluating telecommunication and security systems for small to medium-sized projects.

Key Responsibilities- Develop detailed location block diagrams for telecommunication equipment based on project area classifications and scopes, including analog and digital voice and data, imaging applications, low-voltage devices for security systems, and building controls.
- Create, review, and provide feedback on telecommunication system schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain advanced knowledge of integrated telecommunication systems and physical security systems for small to medium-sized projects.
- Represent telecommunication systems accurately on drawings using 2D CAD systems and procedures.
- Apply intermediate knowledge of 3D CAD systems throughout project phases, from Front End Engineering Development (FEED) to detailed design, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Integrated Site Acceptance Testing (ISAT).
- An accredited two-year degree or global equivalent in a technical field of study, or a combination of education and directly related experience totaling four years.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Necessary job-related technical knowledge.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of relevant local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and effectively within time constraints.
- Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards, as well as the commercial availability and cost of materials.
$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
