Momofuku Noodle Bar made its debut in New York City’s East Village in 2004. The Uptown location features a menu filled with seasonal ramen, buns, and various dishes, complemented by a full bar.
The role of a Line Cook is essential, as it involves executing innovative recipes and menu items under the guidance of the Chef. This position requires the precise presentation of dishes, adhering to the high standards set by Momofuku. In addition to mastering various kitchen stations, the Line Cook is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring food safety and equipment protocols are followed.
Compensation Band: $24 - $26 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present menu items from start to finish, including ingredient preparation, protein butchering, cooking, and plating.

Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of culinary experience or a Culinary Arts degree.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Capability to remain composed under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Line Cook, Chef de Partie, or in a similar role within a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
- Demonstrated proficiency at each kitchen station.
- Experience in training new Line Cooks on various kitchen stations.
- A proven track record of reliability and a focus on continuous learning and development.
Physical Demands
- This role requires visual, auditory, and verbal abilities, as well as the capacity to reach, lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, sit and stand for 4 to 8 hours, bend, and move intermittently during shifts. These physical demands can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
