Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our customers. Our pharmacy technicians are the backbone of our pharmacy team, working closely with pharmacists to ensure accurate and efficient prescription filling, patient counseling, and medication management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software, to ensure seamless transactions and accurate record-keeping.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy operations and patient care.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
