Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive soccer program that aligns with the university's mission and values.
  • Recruit and retain top talent from the region, with a focus on building strong relationships with high school coaches and players.
  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance player performance and team success.
  • Collaborate with the head coach and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Contribute to the overall operation of the program, including administrative tasks, compliance, and student-athlete development.
  • Stay up-to-date with NCAA rules and regulations, and ensure compliance with all university and conference policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of collegiate soccer coaching experience required.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, administrative, and recruiting skills.
  • Experience with NCAA Rules and Regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Valid vehicle operator's license and a driving record acceptable to the university by the university's insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of collegiate coaching experience.
  • Recruiting experience in Michigan and surrounding region.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Analytics.
  • Understanding of Positional Play Soccer.
  • Master's degree with education and/or experience in leadership or coaching.
