Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IMC Registered Nurse to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and implement and evaluate care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Utilize advanced cardiovascular knowledge and skills to identify and treat cardiac dysrhythmias, monitor hemodynamic status, and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Provide emotional support and empathy to patients and families, promoting a positive and compassionate care environment.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Able to recognize cardiac rhythms – preferred
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – preferred
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required within 90 days of hire
