Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to deliver world-class cardiovascular care.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and implement and evaluate care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Formulate and revise plans of care based on patient response to treatment, ensuring effective and safe delivery of care.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with Resource Nurses, Team Leaders, and Physicians to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, identify dysrhythmias, and treat accordingly based on established protocols.
- Perform head-to-toe assessments on all patients, as per hospital policy, and interpret results accurately.
- Consult with other departments as needed to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate patient care as necessary, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
- 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Able to recognize cardiac rhythms - preferred
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required as per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - required within 90 days of hire
