Facilities Maintenance Associate

At Gethsemane Community Fellowship, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our building, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and performing maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and emptying trash.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all areas of the building, including the sanctuary, conference rooms, bathrooms, offices, hallways, kitchens, and grounds.
- Dispose of all waste and garbage in and around the facilities.
- Operate wet/dry vacuum for cleaning and shampooing carpeted areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, polishing, and stripping and waxing floors.
- Report needs for minor building or equipment repair to supervisor.
- Replaces light bulbs and/or reports safety hazards to supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Facilities Maintenance Manager, Stewardship Designee(s), Sr. Pastor, or Director of Ministry.
Requirements:
- Education (Preferred): High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Some previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience
- Valid Drivers License
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in person, via phone, and in writing with Gethsemane members, staff and internal partners, external vendors, and visitors.
