About the Role

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our Solid Waste Engineering team in Knoxville, TN. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing landfill engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate landfill engineering projects, including airspace, excavation, and fill volume calculations, design submittals, and technical reports.
  • Assist clients with day-to-day operational support and manage Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) for landfill cell, final cover, and gas system expansion construction projects.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on site development and geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Interact with CEC office and field staff, clients, and contractors to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in landfill engineering projects, preferably in Tennessee.
  • Ability to coordinate regulatory agency review processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Sound understanding of business principles and project delivery tools.
