Job Title: Frontload CDL Driver

Waste Connections is seeking a skilled and reliable Frontload CDL Driver to join our team in Knoxville, TN.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and safety-conscious driver to operate a heavy-duty truck and collect waste from residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck is safe and ready for operation.
  • Drive the truck to and from customer locations and disposal areas.
  • Move waste bins to a position accessible by the truck and close all enclosure gates.
  • Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse, compact waste, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
  • Clean up spills and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Read route sheets to determine the day's schedule and service each customer as identified.
  • Complete required paperwork, including route/productivity sheets and Vehicle Condition Reports.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
  • Meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
  • Knowledge of truck components and ability to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.
  • Clean safety and driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
