Waste Connections is seeking a skilled and reliable Frontload CDL Driver to join our team in Knoxville, TN.
Job Summary:We are looking for a motivated and safety-conscious driver to operate a heavy-duty truck and collect waste from residential and commercial customers. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the truck is safe and ready for operation.
- Drive the truck to and from customer locations and disposal areas.
- Move waste bins to a position accessible by the truck and close all enclosure gates.
- Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse, compact waste, and dispose of collected material at the designated facility.
- Clean up spills and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Read route sheets to determine the day's schedule and service each customer as identified.
- Complete required paperwork, including route/productivity sheets and Vehicle Condition Reports.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
- Meet all qualifications as defined under DOT regulation 49 CFR 383.51.
- Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
- Knowledge of truck components and ability to complete pre-and post-trip inspections.
- Clean safety and driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
