Job Title: Avionics Electrical Tech Lead

Join Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a leading manufacturer of business jet aircraft, as an Avionics Electrical Tech Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all electrical and avionics activities, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and meeting aircraft schedules and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, schedule, and complete tasks on work authorizations to meet the master schedule.
  • Coordinate electrical and avionics activities to meet aircraft schedules and deadlines.
  • Supervise and instruct electrical technicians on technical guidance and proper procedures for troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance program on test equipment, hand tools, and special tools.
  • Ensure compliance with Site Inspection Procedures Manual, Site Operating Procedures, and FARs.
  • Supervise a continuous safety program in the hangar area, including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and general housekeeping.
  • Enforce company FOD, tool control, 5S programs, and all safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience on large/mid-size aircraft.
  • 8 years of experience in aircraft avionics/electrical career field, or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and 6 years of related experience.
  • FAA A&P license or ability to obtain a repairman certificate within 30 days of start date.
  • FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and avionics system drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A good understanding of PC, Windows, and mainframe computer applications, including the use of standard computer word processing programs (i.e., Microsoft Word) and appropriate typing skills.
