About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Automation Engineer to join our team at MKS Instruments. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and maturing automation capability within our critical lines of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive enterprise automation framework, standards, and governance principles.
  • Lead matrixed architects and IT professionals to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on technology acquisition and lifecycle management.
  • Ensure IT Architecture and associated technology solutions are in place to meet business objectives.
  • Facilitate the creation of actionable roadmaps to inform the enterprise architecture strategy.
  • Maintain a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and measurement of IT systems.
  • Provide guidance on the implementation of large or complex projects.
  • Engage in initiatives to facilitate the realization of value and work with sponsorship to evaluate the achievement of value.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of vendors and review of contracts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree.
  • 10+ years of diversified IT experience.
  • 5+ years of IT Engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical IT automation architect capacity.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and emerging technologies such as generative AI and its applications.
  • Familiarity with On-Prem distributed system architectures and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise networking architectures, including segmented networks and SDWAN architectures.
